The Katalox system uses a German Media that will self oxidize. Once the iron is oxidized it can now be captured by the green sand in the tank. The nice thing about this media is there is not any maintenance nor any chemicals involved the down side is it has a max of aprox. 6 ppm of iron. The system is designed to remove iron and sulfur. This system also works very well as a support system in applications of extreme iron with our chlorination system. This system sells for $3495.00 installed and with a 15 year limited warranty.
